Just a couple of kilometres from the Italian border, Montgenèvre is France’s oldest ski resort and the only French part of the famous Milky Way ski circuit. It offers expert, intermediate and beginner slopes as well as nursery slopes and ski schools for the little ones. The Montgenèvre ski area is served by 39 lifts with chairs and drags and has a 100km of downhill pistes. Reach the summit at Le Chalet and take in the spectacular vistas before an exhilarating ski back down to the village. Or upgrade to a Milky Way lift pass and explore another 400km of pistes across the Italian border. Snowboarders will enjoy Montgenèvre’s snow park which has a quarter pipe, projump, gap and rope tow. There are also cross-country skiing and snow-shoe trekking available on the resort. Lastly, the whole family is welcome to enjoy the ice-skating rink.
